the day of the appearance of the Goddess Lalita Tripurasundari, kept on the full moon of Magha.<\/p>\n<h2>How it is kept<\/h2>\n<p>Devotees of the Devi, and above all those of the Sri Vidya tradition, worship Lalita Tripurasundari on the full moon of Magha. The Lalita Sahasranama is chanted, often with kumkuma archana, and the Sri Chakra is worshipped. Many fast until the puja is done.<\/p>\n<h2>The story<\/h2>\n<p>The Lalitopakhyana of the Brahmanda Purana tells that the Goddess rose as Lalita from the fire of the gods&#8217; sacrifice to destroy Bhandasura, born of the ashes of Kama, and that she reigns in Sripura. The Lalita Sahasranama, her thousand names, comes from the same work. Tradition keeps the Magha full moon as the day of her appearance.<\/p>\n<h2>Which day Anudina gives<\/h2>\n<p>Anudina gives the day on which the Magha purnima is running at sunrise. Lalita Panchami, in the autumn Navaratri, is a different observance with a page of its own.<\/p>\n<p>Anudina shows it to readers who tick the Shakta lineage in the Tradition sheet, wherever they are.
