Chaitra.<\/p>\n<h2>How it is kept<\/h2>\n<p>In Pushtimarga havelis and homes Yamunaji is worshipped on the sixth of bright Chaitra: her Yamunashtakam is recited, offerings are made at the river at Mathura&#8217;s Vishram Ghat and elsewhere, and the havelis celebrate her day. In Pushtimarga it is also the utsav of Sri Yadunathji, a son of Gusainji.<\/p>\n<h2>The story<\/h2>\n<p>Yamuna Chhath is kept as the day Yamunaji came down to earth. In Pushtimarga she is honoured as one of Krishna&#8217;s beloved queens, and Vallabhacharya&#8217;s Yamunashtakam asks her grace before Krishna&#8217;s. Bathing in her waters is held to give the purity needed to serve Krishna.<\/p>\n<h2>Which day Anudina gives<\/h2>\n<p>Anudina gives the day on which Chaitra shukla shashthi, the sixth tithi of the bright fortnight of Chaitra, is running at sunrise.<\/p>\n<p>Anudina shows it to readers who tick the Pushtimarga (Vallabha) lineage in the Tradition sheet, wherever they are.
