countless heroes beyond those he has named. By the Mahabharata&#8217;s count the Kaurava army is eleven akshauhinis and the Pandava army seven. Madarthe, for my sake: not for dharma or the kingdom, but for me. The other is tyaktajivitah. Sridhara Swami explains it as those resolved to give their lives. But the form of the word is past: those who have already given up their lives.
