Sridhara Swami distinguishes the links: adharma overwhelms in the previous verse speaks of a fault of the mind, while go astray here speaks of a fault at the level of the body. Behind this fear lies the thought that if the men die in battle, the women of the house are left without support and social bonds loosen. Its tone places the weight of a family&#8217;s honour on its women. We should not forget that these are the words of Arjuna in grief. Besides, the idea of sankara also comes in Krishna&#8217;s words in the third chapter, in another context. So it is best to read the word against the background of its time.
