If Janaka and the others had already come to the complete vision, then, their prarabdha karma being under way, they stood in perfection along with action rather than renouncing it, for the sake of holding the world together. Janaka and the other royal sages stand in the front rank of knowers, and they reached the self by karma yoga alone.
