Shankara and Ramanuja both gloss &#8216;divine&#8217; as &#8216;aprakrita&#8217;, not of ordinary nature. When this is truly known, the sins that obstruct taking refuge in him are destroyed. Liberation does not come from this one piece of knowledge alone. The word &#8216;in truth&#8217; demands complete knowledge.
