In &#8216;the way of action&#8217;, &#8216;action&#8217; stands for all three, and &#8216;way&#8217; means their true nature. Madhva too reads vikarma as forbidden action, which binds. What is to be understood in these is that, setting aside the variety that comes from different fruits, all of it is done for the single goal of liberation. This, he recalls, was already said in 2.41, &#8216;the resolute understanding is one&#8217;.
