The last verse plays on this, asking that this shatpadi dwell for ever in the lotus of the singer&#8217;s mouth. The wave arises from the ocean and remains in it, but the ocean does not depend on the wave. Its word shatpadi has two senses, six verses and a bee: as a bee settles in a lotus, may the hymn settle in the mouth. The metre is arya.
