If the all-pervading one accepts neither the sin of the devotee nor the merit devotees offer, why do people perform worship, sacrifice and charity? Because discernment is veiled by ignorance. It does not remove the sorrow of those close to it, nor take away the happiness of those hostile to it. &#8216;Mine&#8217; and &#8216;other&#8217; are all the work of latent impressions.
