To the deluded, Brahman appears tainted by the faults of the dog-cooker and others, but it is untouched by those faults, and so flawless. Being without qualities, it is not divided by differences of quality either. Gautama&#8217;s rule applies to dealings such as honour and gifts, that is, to the world of those who take the body to be themselves.
