The old practice carries him like a current. Shankara also states an honest exception: if he has done wrong stronger than it, the impression of yoga is covered for a while. For Shankara it is the fruit of the rites the Veda prescribes. Even one who merely wishes to know yoga goes beyond it; how much more one established in yoga and practising it. For him shabda-brahman is prakriti: what can be named by words such as god, man, earth, sky and heaven.
