So it reads at once that devotion lives in the lotus of Shiva\u2019s foot and that it stands as water in the pool that is that foot. A cloud draws its water from the pool below, and it is the same water it returns as rain. It is not somewhat filled but filled to the bund. A half-full tank waters only part of the fields below it, and that is why \u2018akhilam\u2019 follows: not a share of the crop but the whole of it.
