The first two quarters give four demonstratives: sa, te, tau, sah. The third quarter gives four relatives in the same order: ya, ye, yau, yah. The fourth gives four verbs: vadati, ikshete, arcatah, smarati. The sense therefore joins up like this. Which speaks, that is the tongue. Which two look, those are the eyes. Which two worship, those two alone are hands.
