Shankara, Ramanuja and Sridhara Swami say the seven great sages are Bhrigu and the others. For Shankara and Ramanuja they are the four Manus called Savarni. For Madhva they are the first four Manus, Svayambhuva and the others, since it would not fit to say that the present creatures came from Manus yet to come.
