Ramanuja calls Narada &#8216;the supreme Vaishnava&#8217;. Among them is the sage Kapila. For Ramanuja Kapila is the one supremely worthy of worship for those devoted to yoga. Madhva explains verses twenty-six and twenty-seven together and gives the meaning of the name &#8216;Kapila&#8217;: &#8216;ka&#8217; means joy, the one whose nature is joy, who protects the world and draws it back into himself.
