Ramanuja and Sridhara Swami quote the scripture &#8216;akaro vai sarva vak&#8217;, A alone is all speech. As the rest of the passage quoted by Sridhara Swami says, that same A, made manifest through the consonants and sibilants, becomes many forms. Why the dvandva among compounds? In it both words are equally important. For Ramanuja the dhata is the four-faced Hiranyagarbha who creates everything.
