Shankara names two kinds of death: that which takes away wealth and the like, and that which takes away life. The one that takes life is &#8216;all-seizing&#8217;. Sridhara Swami calls them seven women in the form of deities: even a slight touch of their reflection makes beings praiseworthy. Ramanuja names each of them one by one as his glory. Among them memory, intelligence, steadfastness and forbearance are also qualities of the mind.
