When the eyes fill with tears the throat tightens and the voice becomes faint and faltering. That is &#8216;gadgada&#8217;. He takes the repetition &#8216;bhitabhita&#8217; to mean exceedingly afraid. Arjuna&#8217;s body language, bowing once and then bowing low again before he speaks, tells his state of mind.
