on him are &#8216;yuktatama&#8217;, the most steadfast. Sridhara Swami reads this as the answer &#8216;the first are superior&#8217;: those who worship the supreme Lord, endowed with qualities such as omniscience, with one-pointed mind, doing work for his sake. It is right, he says, to call &#8216;most steadfast&#8217; those who keep their minds day and night on the supreme Lord in his cosmic form. Are those who worship the imperishable then not the most steadfast? It is not that, and he explains at the fourth verse that what is to be said of them is different.
