Seeking. Shankara calls the state &#8216;the state of Vishnu&#8217;, and &#8216;parimargana&#8217; means searching it out and knowing it. How is it to be sought? With the sense of taking refuge in him alone, &#8216;tam eva chadyam purusham prapadye&#8217;. He quotes a shruti, &#8216;one should take refuge in him, having taken refuge in whom one neither grieves nor exults, is neither born nor dies&#8217;, and the Mokshadharma&#8217;s &#8216;one on whom Narayana&#8217;s glance falls awakens&#8217;.
