On who the &#8216;perishable&#8217; and the &#8216;imperishable&#8217; are, the acharyas clearly part. For Madhva the &#8216;perishable&#8217; are the beings from Brahma downward and the &#8216;unchanging imperishable&#8217; is prakriti, that is, the principle of Shri, for which he quotes the Sharkarakshya shruti.
