of demonic ones. Shankara calls &#8216;dambha&#8217; &#8216;dharmadhvajitva&#8217;, flying the flag of dharma. &#8216;Darpa&#8217; is the swelling that comes from learning, wealth and kinsfolk. The &#8216;asuras&#8217; for him are those who go against the Lord&#8217;s command. Sridhara Swami calls &#8216;parushya&#8217; cruelty and &#8216;ajnana&#8217; lack of discernment.
