worshipping him through one&#8217;s own work, is among the most democratic sentences of the Gita: worship needs no other materials, the work itself is the flower. According to Shankara the arising and activity of beings come from the Lord as inner controller, and each person, of whatever varna, worshipping him through his own work, gains the perfection of fitness for steadfastness in knowledge.
