of Brahman through steadfastness in knowledge. According to Shankara the &#8216;perfection&#8217; here is the fitness for steadfastness in knowledge that has come by the Lord&#8217;s grace through worshipping him with one&#8217;s own work. The phrase &#8216;the highest culmination of knowledge&#8217; describes Brahman: it is the supreme goal of knowledge in the form of meditation.
