ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ವಕ್ತುಮರ್ಹಸ್ಯಶೇಷೇಣ ದಿವ್ಯಾ ಹ್ಯಾತ್ಮವಿಭೂತಯಃ।
ಯಾಭಿರ್ವಿಭೂತಿಭಿರ್ಲೋಕಾನಿಮಾಂಸ್ತ್ವಂ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ಯ ತಿಷ್ಠಸಿ ॥ 16 ॥

वक्तुमर्हस्यशेषेण दिव्या ह्यात्मविभूतयः।
याभिर्विभूतिभिर्लोकानिमांस्त्वं व्याप्य तिष्ठसि ॥ 16 ॥

ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ದಿವ್ಯಾಃ ಹಿ ಆತ್ಮವಿಭೂತಯಃ (दिव्याः हि आत्मविभूतयः, divyāḥ hi ātmavibhūtayaḥ) = ನಿನ್ನ ದಿವ್ಯ ವಿಭೂತಿಗಳನ್ನು (your divine glories)
- ಅಶೇಷೇಣ ವಕ್ತುಮ್ ಅರ್ಹಸಿ (अशेषेण वक्तुम् अर्हसि, aśeṣeṇa vaktum arhasi) = ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲು ನೀನೇ ಯೋಗ್ಯ (you alone can tell in full)
- ಯಾಭಿಃ ವಿಭೂತಿಭಿಃ (याभिः विभूतिभिः, yābhiḥ vibhūtibhiḥ) = ಯಾವ ವಿಭೂತಿಗಳಿಂದ (the glories by which)
- ತ್ವಮ್ ಇಮಾನ್ ಲೋಕಾನ್ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ಯ ತಿಷ್ಠಸಿ (त्वम् इमान् लोकान् व्याप्य तिष्ठसि, tvam imān lokān vyāpya tiṣṭhasi) = ನೀನು ಈ ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೀಯೋ (you pervade these worlds and abide)
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ಯಾವ ವಿಭೂತಿಗಳಿಂದ ನೀನು ಈ ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೀಯೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಆ ದಿವ್ಯ ವಿಭೂತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲು ನೀನೇ ಯೋಗ್ಯ.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)
You alone can tell in full your divine glories, the glories by which you pervade these worlds and abide.
ಶ್ಲೋಕ 10.16ರ ವಿವರಣೆContext and commentary on verse 10.16
ಹಿಂದಿನ ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ತರ್ಕ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ: ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಭೂತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲು ನೀನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಯೋಗ್ಯ. ಶ್ರೀಧರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳು ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಿಗೆ ‘ವಿಭೂತಿ’ ಅವನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯ ವಿಸ್ತಾರ. ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಪದವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ: ‘ವಿವಿಧ ಭೂತಿಗಳು’, ಅನೇಕ ಬಗೆಯ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯಗಳು.
The reasoning of the previous verse becomes a request here: since you alone know yourself, you alone are fit to tell your glories. Sridhara Swami states this link clearly. For Shankara ‘vibhuti’ is the extension of his greatness. Madhva takes the word apart: ‘vividha bhutayah’, many kinds of splendour.
ರಾಮಾನುಜಾಚಾರ್ಯರಿಗೆ ‘ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದು’ ಎಂದರೆ ನಿಯಾಮಕನಾಗಿ ಒಳಗಿನಿಂದ ನಡೆಸುವುದು. ಅವರ ವಿವರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಭೂತಿಗಳು ಅವನ ನಿಯಮನದ ವಿಶೇಷ ರೂಪಗಳು, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವು ಅನಂತ. ‘ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಪ್ರಕಟಪಡಿಸು’ ಎಂಬುದು ಅರ್ಜುನನ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ.
For Ramanuja ‘pervading and abiding’ means guiding from within as the inner controller. In his explanation the glories are particular forms of his governance, and so they are endless. Arjuna’s request is, ‘you yourself reveal them’.

ಇಂದಿನ ಬದುಕಿಗೆFor life today
ಸರಿಯಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕೇಳುವುದು ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಅರ್ಧ ಕೆಲಸ. ಅರ್ಜುನ ವಿಭೂತಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬೇರೆಲ್ಲೋ ಹುಡುಕದೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಒಡೆಯನನ್ನೇ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Asking the right question of the right person is half the work of learning. Arjuna does not look elsewhere for the glories but asks their owner himself.
ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಇದು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲದ ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಿಂತ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ವೈದ್ಯರನ್ನೇ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳುವುದು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ.
This applies to health questions too. Asking the doctor who examined us is safer than piecing together scattered information from the internet.
