ಗೌರಿಹಬ್ಬದಂದು, ಶಿವಪಾರ್ವತಿಯರ ಪೂಜೆಯ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳುವ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಆಶೀರ್ವಚನ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಇದು.
ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದ ಸ್ವರೂಪವಾದ ಭವಾನಿ ಶಂಕರರನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಸಿದ್ಧರು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿನ ಈಶ್ವರನನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಇದು.
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ಭವಾನೀಶಂಕರೌ ವಂದೇ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾವಿಶ್ವಾಸರೂಪಿಣೌ ।
ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಂ ವಿನಾ ನ ಪಶ್ಯಂತಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಃ ಸ್ವಾಂತಃಸ್ಥಮೀಶ್ವರಮ್ ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ದೇವನಾಗರಿ)
भवानीशङ्करौ वन्दे श्रद्धाविश्वासरूपिणौ ।
याभ्यां विना न पश्यन्ति सिद्धाः स्वान्तःस्थमीश्वरम् ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (IAST)
bhavānīśaṅkarau vande śraddhāviśvāsarūpiṇau |
yābhyāṃ vinā na paśyanti siddhāḥ svāntaḥsthamīśvaram ||
ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ಭವಾನೀಶಂಕರೌ (भवानीशङ्करौ, bhavānīśaṅkarau) = ಭವಾನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಂಕರ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನೂ (both Bhavani and Shankara)
- ವಂದೇ (वन्दे, vande) = ವಂದಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ (I bow to)
- ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾವಿಶ್ವಾಸರೂಪಿಣೌ (श्रद्धाविश्वासरूपिणौ, śraddhāviśvāsarūpiṇau) = ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಗಳ ಸ್ವರೂಪರಾದ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು (who take the form of faith and trust)
- ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಂ ವಿನಾ (याभ्यां विना, yābhyāṃ vinā) = ಯಾರಿಲ್ಲದೆ (without whom)
- ನ ಪಶ್ಯಂತಿ (न पश्यन्ति, na paśyanti) = ಕಾಣಲಾರರು (they cannot see)
- ಸಿದ್ಧಾಃ (सिद्धाः, siddhāḥ) = ಸಿದ್ಧಪುರುಷರು (the accomplished sages)
- ಸ್ವಾಂತಃಸ್ಥಮ್ ಈಶ್ವರಮ್ (स्वान्तःस्थम् ईश्वरम्, svāntaḥstham īśvaram) = ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೇ ಇರುವ ಈಶ್ವರನನ್ನು (the Lord dwelling within themselves)
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಗಳ ಸ್ವರೂಪರಾದ ಭವಾನಿ ಶಂಕರರಿಗೆ ವಂದಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಪುರುಷರೂ ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿನ ಈಶ್ವರನನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲಾರರು.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)
I bow to Bhavani and Shankara, who take the very form of faith and trust, for without them even accomplished sages cannot see the Lord dwelling within themselves.
ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆAbout this verse
ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ರಾಮಚರಿತಮಾನಸದ ಮಂಗಳಾಚರಣ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ, ತುಳಸೀದಾಸರು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತದಲ್ಲಿ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು.
This verse occurs in the invocatory portion of the Ramcharitmanas, one of the opening Sanskrit verses composed by Tulsidas.
ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಪಾರ್ವತಿಗೂ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ಶಿವನಿಗೂ ಹೋಲಿಸಿ, ಈ ಎರಡೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಒಳಗಿನ ಈಶ್ವರನನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲಾಗದು ಎಂಬ ಆಳವಾದ ಸಂದೇಶ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
Comparing faith to Parvati and trust to Shiva, the verse carries the deep message that without both, the Lord within cannot be seen.
