About this subhashita
Caturanana is Brahma, who is held to write on the forehead at birth. The verse stands on that belief, so the poet is not asking a small favour. He is asking for one line to be struck off the record before he is born.
Rasa is relish. An arasika is someone without relish, not someone wicked. The verse never calls them evil. It only asks to be spared the punishment of reciting to them.
The threefold ma likha is not mere ornament. The fourth line of the Drutavilambita metre is filled by those three repetitions alone, so the urgency of the request sits exactly in the measure of the verse.

For life today
Anyone who has presented work they laboured over to a room with no interest in it will understand this verse. Blank faces tire a person more than harsh criticism does.
What can be taken from it is not to blame the room, but to look at the room beforehand. Even when the work is good, where we place it matters as much as the work.
