Privacy across the Dixith apps
Anudina, Abhyasa, Achala, Ayojana and Soundarya Lahari are made by Dr Shashikiran Umakanth at dixith.com, a personal project, not a company. They share one thing: a single sign-in, your Dixith account. This page is about that account. Each app has its own page with the details for that app, listed at the end.

Without signing in
Every app works without an account. What you do in it stays on your phone or computer, in the app's own storage, and is not sent to us. Signing in is optional; it is there so that what you save appears on your other devices and is not lost when you change your phone. (In Anudina, saving family members and the Charts tab need a free sign-in.)
Your Dixith account
One account, one email address, works in all the apps. For the account itself we keep:
- Your email address, to sign you in and to recognise your account.
- A password, if you choose to set one, only as a one-way hash that cannot be turned back into the password, with the date it was set. An emailed code always works instead.
- Two dates: the day the account was made and the day it was last used. Dates only, never times of day.
- Your signed-in devices: for each, the make or model the device reports (such as "Pixel 7"), the day it signed in and the day it was last used, so you can see them and sign one out. No device identifier.
A sign-in code sent to your email is kept only as a hash, for 15 minutes. What you save inside an app (verses, notes, family members, reminders and so on) is kept by that app, as its own page describes.
Continue with Google
Since October 2026 you may sign in with your Google account instead of an emailed code. Google then tells our server the email address of the Google account you choose, and that Google has verified it. That address is all we use. Nothing else is taken or kept from Google: not your Google password (which we never see), not your name, picture or contacts. The sign-in signs you into the same Dixith account the emailed code would.
Where it is kept
On dixith.com's own server. Everything travels over an encrypted connection. No IP address is written down. To slow down anyone guessing passwords, the server counts attempts under a one-way fingerprint of the asking device's address, which cannot be turned back into the address, and clears these counts within about a day.
Not shared, not sold
Nothing is sold or shared. Your account is used only to sign you in and to give you back what you saved. Some apps count which screens are opened, with Google Analytics, to learn what is used; each app's page says exactly what is counted.
Deleting
In any app, open More and then your account. There you can delete that app's data, or delete your whole Dixith account, which removes the account and the data of every Dixith app at once. You can also write to us and we will do it for you.
Each app's own page
- Anudina, panchanga and calendar
- Abhyasa, japa counter
- Achala, meditation timer
- Ayojana, alarms, timers and to-do
- Soundarya Lahari, the hundred verses with meaning
