ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ಏತನ್ಮೇ ಸಂಶಯಂ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಛೇತ್ತುಮರ್ಹಸ್ಯಶೇಷತಃ।
ತ್ವದನ್ಯಃ ಸಂಶಯಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಯ ಛೇತ್ತಾ ನ ಹ್ಯುಪಪದ್ಯತೇ ॥ 39 ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ದೇವನಾಗರಿ)
एतन्मे संशयं कृष्ण छेत्तुमर्हस्यशेषतः।
त्वदन्यः संशयस्यास्य छेत्ता न ह्युपपद्यते ॥ 39 ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (English IAST)
etanme saṃśayaṃ kṛṣṇa chettumarhasyaśeṣataḥ|
tvadanyaḥ saṃśayasyāsya chettā na hyupapadyate || 39 ||
ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಏತತ್ ಮೇ ಸಂಶಯಮ್ (कृष्ण एतत् मे संशयम्, kṛṣṇa etat me saṃśayam) = ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ, ನನ್ನ ಈ ಸಂಶಯವನ್ನು (Krishna, this doubt of mine)
- ಅಶೇಷತಃ ಛೇತ್ತುಮ್ ಅರ್ಹಸಿ (अशेषतः छेत्तुम् अर्हसि, aśeṣataḥ chettum arhasi) = ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲು ನೀನೇ ಅರ್ಹ (you should cut away completely)
- ತ್ವತ್ ಅನ್ಯಃ (त्वत् अन्यः, tvat anyaḥ) = ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ (other than you)
- ಅಸ್ಯ ಸಂಶಯಸ್ಯ ಛೇತ್ತಾ ನ ಹಿ ಉಪಪದ್ಯತೇ (अस्य संशयस्य छेत्ता न हि उपपद्यते, asya saṃśayasya chettā na hi upapadyate) = ಈ ಸಂಶಯವನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವವರು ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ (no one can be found to cut this doubt)
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ, ನನ್ನ ಈ ಸಂಶಯವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲು ನೀನೇ ಅರ್ಹ. ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊರತು ಈ ಸಂಶಯವನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಬಲ್ಲವರು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)
Krishna, you should cut away this doubt of mine completely. No one other than you can be found who could cut away this doubt.
ಶ್ಲೋಕ 6.39ರ ವಿವರಣೆContext and commentary on verse 6.39
ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ‘ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಸಂಶಯವನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸು’ ಎಂದಿದ್ದ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜುನ ಅದೇ ‘ಛೇತ್ತುಂ’, ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲು, ಎಂಬ ಪದವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣನಿಗೇ ಆ ಕೆಲಸ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
At the end of the fourth chapter Krishna said, ‘cut doubt with the sword of knowledge’. Here Arjuna uses the same word, ‘to cut’, and hands that very task to Krishna.
ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ‘ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊರತು’ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಋಷಿಯಾಗಲಿ ದೇವತೆಯಾಗಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ರಾಮಾನುಜಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಕಾರಣ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ: ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೂ ಏಕಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನಾಗಿಯೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವವನು ಅವನು. ಸತ್ತ ಮೇಲೆ ಏನಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಬಲ್ಲವನು ಅಂಥವನೇ.
Shankara opens ‘other than you’ as no one else, whether sage or god. Ramanuja gives the reason: he is the one who sees everything at all times, at once, directly and by himself. Only such a one can bear witness to what happens after death.
ಶ್ರೀಧರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ‘ಸರ್ವಜ್ಞ’ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಈ ಮೂರು ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Sridhara Swami calls him all-knowing. Madhva comments on these three verses together.
ಆಧಾರ: ಹಲವು ಮೂಲಗಳು. ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನಕಾರರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡೂ ಅರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

ಇಂದಿನ ಬದುಕಿಗೆFor life today
ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ, ಇಂಟರ್ನೆಟ್, ಹತ್ತು ಜನರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ನಂಬುವ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಮಾತು ಮಾತ್ರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಶಾಂತಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
Some questions are not answered by books, the internet or the opinions of ten people. Only a word from someone we trust calms the mind.
ಅದಕ್ಕೇ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಅನೇಕ ಬಾರಿ ರೋಗಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದು ಹೊಸ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯಲ್ಲ, ತಾನು ನಂಬುವವರಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಉತ್ತರ.
That is why a relationship of trust matters in treatment. Often what a patient needs is not new information but a clear answer from someone they trust.
