ಇದೊಂದು ಗಣೇಶನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವ ಗೀತೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಪಲ್ಲವಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡು ಚರಣಗಳಿವೆ. ಮೂಲದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇದನ್ನು ಸಾವೇರಿ ರಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರೂಪಕ ತಾಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
This is a song in praise of Ganesha, with a pallavi and two charanas. Per the source it is sung in raga Saveri and tala Rupaka.
ಪಲ್ಲವಿ ವಿಘ್ನಗಳ ಕತ್ತಲೆಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನಾದ ಗಣೇಶ್ವರನಿಗೆ ನಮಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೊದಲ ಚರಣ ಅವನ ವಂಶ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಎರಡನೆಯ ಚರಣ ಅಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನಾಶ ಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಅವನ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.
The pallavi bows to Ganeshvara, a sun to the darkness of obstacles. The first charana speaks of his lineage and might. The second speaks of his grace in destroying ignorance and granting wisdom.

ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳ ಅರ್ಥ
- ಪಲ್ಲವಿ ವಿಘ್ನಗಳೆಂಬ ಕತ್ತಲೆಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನಂತಿರುವ ಗಣೇಶ್ವರನಿಗೆ ನಾನು ನಮಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I bow to Ganeshvara, who is like the sun to the darkness of obstacles. - ಚರಣ 1 ತ್ರಿಪುರವನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟ ಶಿವನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಮಗನು, ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಅಹಂಕಾರವನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿದವನು, ಮುರನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದ ವಿಷ್ಣುವಿನಿಂದ ಪೂಜಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪಾದಗಳುಳ್ಳವನು, ಅಡ್ಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿದವನು.
He is the dear son of Shiva, the destroyer of Tripura, who humbled the pride of the enemies of the gods. ಮೂಲವು ರಾಗ ಸಾವೇರಿ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಳ ರೂಪಕ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಪಲ್ಲವಿ ಒಂದು ಸಾಲು, ಮೊದಲ ಚರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡನೆಯದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಸಾಲುಗಳಿವೆ. ಪಲ್ಲವಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿ ಚರಣದ ನಂತರ ಮರಳಿ ಹಾಡುವುದು ಗೀತೆಯ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ.
