ಗಂಗಾ ತೀರದ ಪಾಣಿಹಾಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠ ಶುಕ್ಲ ತ್ರಯೋದಶಿಯಂದು ಅವಲಕ್ಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮೊಸರಿನ ಪ್ರಸಾದವನ್ನು ಹಂಚುವ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವೇ ಪಾಣಿಹಾಟಿ ಚಿಡಾ-ದಹಿ ಉತ್ಸವ.
ಆಚರಿಸುವ ರೀತಿ
ಕೋಲ್ಕತ್ತಾದ ಉತ್ತರದ ಗಂಗಾ ತೀರದ ಪಾಣಿಹಾಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಭಕ್ತರು ನದಿಯ ದಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಆಲದ ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವಲಕ್ಕಿ (ಚಿಡಾ) ಮತ್ತು ಮೊಸರನ್ನು (ದಹಿ) ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಹಿ ತಿನಿಸುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇತರ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇಸ್ಕಾನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌಡೀಯ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಈ ದಿನ ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಚಿಡಾ-ದಹಿ ಭೋಜನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಕಥೆ
ಚೈತನ್ಯರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹಾತೊರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮಗ ರಘುನಾಥ ದಾಸರು ಪಾಣಿಹಾಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾದರು. ಅರ್ಧ ದಂಡನೆಯಂತೆ, ಇನ್ನರ್ಧ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದಂತೆ, ಎಲ್ಲ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೂ ಚಿಡಾ ಮತ್ತು ದಹಿ ಊಟ ಹಾಕಲು ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ರಘುನಾಥ ದಾಸರು ಈ ದಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಪಡೆದರು. ಮುಂದೆ ಇವರು ಬೃಂದಾವನದ ಆರು ಮಂದಿ ಗೋಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾದರು.
ಅನುದಿನ ಕೊಡುವ ದಿನ
ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠ ಮಾಸದ ಶುಕ್ಲ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಹದಿಮೂರನೆಯ ತಿಥಿಯಾದ ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠ ಶುಕ್ಲ ತ್ರಯೋದಶಿಯು ಸೂರ್ಯೋದಯದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅನುದಿನ ಆ್ಯಪ್ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಧಿಕ ಮಾಸ ಬರುವ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅದರ ನಂತರ ಬರುವ ನಿಜ ಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌಡೀಯ (ಇಸ್ಕಾನ್) ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಓದುಗರು ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ದಿನ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ದಿನಗಳು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ, ಅಷ್ಟೇ.

The Panihati Chida Dahi Utsava is the feast of flattened rice and curd kept at Panihati on the Ganga, on the thirteenth day of bright Jyeshtha.
How it is kept
At Panihati on the Ganga, north of Kolkata, devotees gather under the banyan tree on the bank and offer and share flattened rice, chida, with curd, dahi, and with fruits and sweets. ISKCON and Gaudiya temples elsewhere keep the day with the same chida dahi feast.
The story
Raghunatha Dasa, the son of a rich family who longed to leave home for Chaitanya, met Nityananda at Panihati. Nityananda told him, half as a punishment and half as a blessing, to feed all the devotees chida and dahi. He did so on this day, and Nityananda blessed him. He later became one of the six Goswamis of Vrindavan.
Which day Anudina gives
Anudina gives the day on which Jyeshtha shukla trayodashi, the thirteenth tithi of the bright fortnight of Jyeshtha, is running at sunrise. In a year with an extra month, it is kept in the regular month that follows.
Anudina shows it to readers who tick the Gaudiya (ISKCON) lineage in the Tradition sheet, wherever they are. The general festivals are always shown; a lineage only adds days.
The rule was compared with 27 June 2026 (Drik Panchang, ISKCON Bangalore and one other calendar). Only that one dated source was found.
