ಪುಷ್ಟಿಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಮುನಾಜಿಯನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ಪವಿತ್ರ ದಿನವೇ ಯಮುನಾ ಛಠ್. ಇದನ್ನು ಚೈತ್ರ ಶುಕ್ಲ ಷಷ್ಠಿಯಂದು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಆಚರಿಸುವ ರೀತಿ
ಪುಷ್ಟಿಮಾರ್ಗದ ಹವೇಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚೈತ್ರ ಶುಕ್ಲ ಷಷ್ಠಿಯಂದು ಯಮುನಾಜಿಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ: ಯಮುನಾಷ್ಟಕವನ್ನು ಪಠಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಮಥುರೆಯ ವಿಶ್ರಾಮ್ ಘಾಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನದಿಗೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಹವೇಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪುಷ್ಟಿಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಗುಸಾಯಿಂಜೀಯವರ ಪುತ್ರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಯದುನಾಥಜೀಯವರ ಉತ್ಸವದ ದಿನವೂ ಹೌದು.
ಕಥೆ
ಯಮುನಾಜಿಯು ಧರೆಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದ ದಿನವೆಂದು ಯಮುನಾ ಛಠ್ ಅನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪುಷ್ಟಿಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಪಟ್ಟದರಸಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬಳೆಂದು ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಮತ್ತು ವಲ್ಲಭಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಯಮುನಾಷ್ಟಕವು ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಕೃಪೆಗಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಆಕೆಯ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಪವಿತ್ರ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಶುದ್ಧಿ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿದೆ.
ಅನುದಿನ ಕೊಡುವ ದಿನ
ಚೈತ್ರ ಶುಕ್ಲ ಷಷ್ಠಿ, ಅಂದರೆ ಚೈತ್ರ ಮಾಸದ ಶುಕ್ಲ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಆರನೆಯ ತಿಥಿಯು ಸೂರ್ಯೋದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅನುದಿನ ಆ್ಯಪ್ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಷ್ಟಿಮಾರ್ಗ (ವಲ್ಲಭ) ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಓದುಗರಿಗೆ, ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಅನುದಿನ ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸದಾ ಕಾಣುತ್ತವೆ; ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ದಿನಗಳು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ.

The story
Yamuna Chhath is kept as the day Yamunaji came down to earth. In Pushtimarga she is honoured as one of Krishna’s beloved queens, and Vallabhacharya’s Yamunashtakam asks her grace before Krishna’s. Bathing in her waters is held to give the purity needed to serve Krishna.

Anudina gives the day on which Chaitra shukla shashthi, the sixth tithi of the bright fortnight of Chaitra, is running at sunrise.
