ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣರು ಶ್ರೀ ಶಾರದಾ ದೇವಿಯವರನ್ನು ಜಗನ್ಮಾತೆಯೆಂದು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಯ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಂದು ಕಾಳಿಕಾದೇವಿಯನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವುದೇ ಫಲಹಾರಿಣಿ ಕಾಳಿ ಪೂಜೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿಷನ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಂಗಾಳಿ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಆಚರಿಸುವ ರೀತಿ
ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅನೇಕ ಭಕ್ತರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ಮಗಳ ಫಲವನ್ನೂ ಆಕೆಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿಷನ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣೇಶ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಂಗಾಳಿ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪೂಜೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಷೋಡಶೀ ಪೂಜೆಯ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಎಂದೂ ನೆನೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಕಥೆ
ಫಲಹಾರಿಣಿ ಎಂದರೆ ಕರ್ಮದ ಫಲಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯುವವಳು ಎಂದರ್ಥ. 1872ರ ಇದೇ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಯಂದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣೇಶ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣರು ಶ್ರೀ ಶಾರದಾ ದೇವಿಯವರನ್ನು ಜಗನ್ಮಾತೆ ಷೋಡಶಿಯೆಂದು ಪೂಜಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ಪೂಜೆಯ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪರಂಪರೆಯವರು ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಅನುದಿನ ಕೊಡುವ ದಿನ
ಅಮಾಂತ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಂತೆ ವೈಶಾಖ ಮಾಸದ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಯು ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುದಿನ ಆ್ಯಪ್ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ತಿಂಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಹಾಕುವ ಪಂಚಾಂಗಗಳು ಇದನ್ನು ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತವೆ.
ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಕ್ತ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಓದುಗರು ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ದಿನ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ದಿನಗಳು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ, ಅಷ್ಟೇ.
ಈ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು 2025ರ ಮೇ 26 (ಅಲ್ಮೋರಾದ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರ) ಮತ್ತು 2026ರ ಮೇ 16ರ (ಮಧುರೈಯ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಚೆನ್ನೈ ಮಠ) ದಿನಾಂಕಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ತಾಳೆ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

How it is kept
Kali is worshipped at night with fruits, and many offer the fruits of their own actions to her as well. The day is kept with special worship in the centres of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, at Dakshineswar and in Bengali homes. In the Ramakrishna centres it is also remembered as the night of the Shodashi Puja.
The story
Phalaharini means she who takes away the fruits of karma. On this new moon in 1872, at Dakshineswar, Sri Ramakrishna worshipped Sri Sarada Devi as the Divine Mother, Shodashi, and offered at her feet the fruits of all his spiritual practice. The Ramakrishna tradition remembers the night for that worship.
Which day Anudina gives
Anudina gives the night on which the amavasya of Vaishakha, by the amanta count, is running at midnight. Calendars that count the month from the full moon call it the amavasya of Jyeshtha.
Anudina shows it to readers who tick the Shakta lineage in the Tradition sheet, wherever they are. The general festivals are always shown; a lineage only adds days.
The rule was compared with 26 May 2025 (the Ramakrishna centre at Almora) and 16 May 2026 (the Ramakrishna centre at Madurai and the Chennai Math).
