ಇಸ್ಕಾನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಎ. ಸಿ. ಭಕ್ತಿವೇದಾಂತ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಪ್ರಭುಪಾದರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವೇ ಶ್ರೀಲ ಪ್ರಭುಪಾದರ ಆವಿರ್ಭಾವ ದಿನ. ಇದನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಜನ್ಮಾಷ್ಟಮಿಯ ಮರುದಿನವಾದ ನಂದೋತ್ಸವದಂದು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಆಚರಿಸುವ ರೀತಿ
ಇಸ್ಕಾನ್ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರ ವ್ಯಾಸ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ: ಭಕ್ತರು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದವರೆಗೆ ಉಪವಾಸವಿದ್ದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಗೌರವ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಓದುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಅವರ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗೆ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಿ, ನಂತರ ಮಹಾಪ್ರಸಾದ ಭೋಜನವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಜನಿಸಿದ ದಿನವಾದ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಜನ್ಮಾಷ್ಟಮಿಯ ಮರುದಿನ, ಅಂದರೆ ನಂದೋತ್ಸವದಂದೇ ಈ ದಿನ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಕಥೆ
ಎ. ಸಿ. ಭಕ್ತಿವೇದಾಂತ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಪ್ರಭುಪಾದರು 1896ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲ್ಕತ್ತಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು. ಚೈತನ್ಯರ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅವರ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಭಕ್ತಿಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ ಸರಸ್ವತಿಯವರು 1922ರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ, ಅವರು ಭಾಗವತವನ್ನು ಅನುವಾದಿಸಿದರು; ತಮ್ಮ ಅರವತ್ತೊಂಬತ್ತನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಂದರೆ 1965ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಡಗಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಮೆರಿಕಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿದರು. 1966ರಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯೂಯಾರ್ಕ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ಕಾನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿನಾದ್ಯಂತ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದರು.
ಅನುದಿನ ಕೊಡುವ ದಿನ
ಅಮಾಂತ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಂತೆ ಶ್ರಾವಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಿಮಾಂತ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಂತೆ ಭಾದ್ರಪದ ಮಾಸದ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನವಮಿ ತಿಥಿಯು ಸೂರ್ಯೋದಯದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅನುದಿನ ಆ್ಯಪ್ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. 1896ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹಿಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುದಿನ ಯಾವುದೇ ದಿನವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌಡೀಯ (ಇಸ್ಕಾನ್) ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಓದುಗರು ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ದಿನ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ದಿನಗಳು ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ, ಅಷ್ಟೇ.

The story
A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada was born in Calcutta in 1896. Asked by his guru, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati, in 1922 to take Chaitanya’s teaching to the English speaking world, he translated the Bhagavata and, at sixty nine, sailed to America in 1965. He founded ISKCON in New York in 1966 and spread it across the world in eleven years.
Which day Anudina gives
Anudina gives the day on which the ninth tithi of the dark fortnight is running at sunrise, in the month that is Shravana by the amanta count and Bhadrapada by the purnimanta count. Anudina shows no day for years before 1896.
Anudina shows it to readers who tick the Gaudiya (ISKCON) lineage in the Tradition sheet, wherever they are. The general festivals are always shown; a lineage only adds days.
