About this subhashita

The word prayah matters here. The verse does not say always, it says softly that this is mostly so.

The parrot catches human eyes because it has learned to speak. No one builds a cage for the silent crow, and that is the hidden turn in the image.

For life today

We have seen how the most capable at work often carry the heaviest load. When that happens it helps to learn to say yes or no with courtesy.

The verse also reminds us that it is our duty to protect the capable around us and not merely to make use of them.
