ಪ್ರಸಾದಮಾಧುರ್ಯಗುಣೋಪಪನ್ನಾ: ಕವಿಯ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಸಜ್ಜನನ ಸಂಪತ್ತು

ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಚೀಟಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ, ಅದರ ಅಕ್ಷರ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ, ಸೂಚನೆ ಸರಳ, ಯಾವ ರೋಗಿ ಯಾವ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಓದಿದರೂ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಬರವಣಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುವ ಈ ಗುಣಗಳು ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಇರಬಹುದೇ ಎಂದು ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಕೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕಾವ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಎರಡು ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಕವಿ ಸಜ್ಜನನ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಕವಿಯ ಅರ್ಥಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇದು ಶ್ಲೇಷೆಯ ಬಲದಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುವ ಹೋಲಿಕೆ.

ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ

ಪ್ರಸಾದಮಾಧುರ್ಯಗುಣೋಪಪನ್ನಾ (प्रसादमाधुर्यगुणोपपन्ना, prasādamādhuryaguṇopapannā) = ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಧುರ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಗುಣಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ (endowed with the qualities of clarity and sweetness)
ಯತ್ನಾದನೌಚಿತ್ಯಪರಾಙ್ಮುಖಾಣಾಮ್ (यत्नादनौचित्यपराङ्मुखाणाम्, yatnādanaucityaparāṅmukhāṇām) = ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಅನುಚಿತದಿಂದ ಮುಖ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದವರ (of those who with effort turn their face from the improper)

ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)

ಕವಿಗಳ ಅರ್ಥಗಳು ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಧುರ್ಯ ಗುಣಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿರುವಂತೆ, ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಅನುಚಿತದಿಂದ ದೂರ ಇರುವ ಸಜ್ಜನರ ಸಂಪತ್ತುಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಉಪಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತವೆ.

ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)

Just as the meanings of poets carry the qualities of clarity and sweetness, the wealth of good people, who with effort turn away from what is improper, serves everyone on every occasion.

ಈ ಸುಭಾಷಿತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆAbout this subhashita

ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಧುರ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಕಾವ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾವ್ಯದ ಗುಣಗಳೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಪದಗಳು. ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಎಂದರೆ ಓದಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುವ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆ, ಮಾಧುರ್ಯ ಎಂದರೆ ಕೇಳಲು ಇಂಪಾದ ಮಧುರತೆ.

Prasada and madhurya are terms Sanskrit poetics names as qualities of poetry. Prasada is the clarity understood at once, madhurya the sweetness pleasant to hear.

ಅರ್ಥ ಎಂಬ ಪದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಅರ್ಥ, ಕವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪದಗಳ ಅರ್ಥ ಮತ್ತು ಸಜ್ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಂಪತ್ತು. ಅನೌಚಿತ್ಯ ಎಂದರೆ ಔಚಿತ್ಯದ ಕೊರತೆ, ಅಂದರೆ ಹೊಂದದ ಅಥವಾ ಸಂದರ್ಭಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದಲ್ಲದ್ದು.

The word artha has two senses here: meanings for poets, wealth for the good. Anaucitya is want of propriety, what does not fit the occasion.

ಇಂದಿನ ಬದುಕಿಗೆFor life today

ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಸಮಯ ಅಥವಾ ಹಣ ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುವ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸರಿಯಾದ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಿಗುವಂತಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ಉಪಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ರೋಗಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗದ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಸಲಹೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವನಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ.

Knowledge, time or money in our hands is useful if it reaches others in a form they understand and at the right moment. Advice in language the patient cannot follow comforts only the one who gave it.

ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಎಂದರೆ ಹಣ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ಹೋಲಿಕೆ ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣಕಾಸಿನ ಸಲಹೆ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಕೊಡುವ ರೀತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇದೆ.

The verse’s comparison reminds us that wealth is not only money. It contains no financial advice, only a view on the manner of giving.
