Those who strive to take away the long-gathered toil of the great, those crooked-natured wicked, are worthy of salutation, just as the good are. The remark is ironic.
About this subhashita
The word shrama means both toil and weariness, so taking it away can be read two ways: spoiling the fruit of the great, or seeming to relieve their fatigue. It is hard to say which the poet had in mind.
Asaralatma means one whose mind is not straight. The comparison with the good is the sting: the verse says, in the form of praise, that this respect is not truly theirs to receive.

For life today
There are people today who can pull down years of work in a single remark. Their speed is no reason to mark down the worth of our own work.
Not every criticism is wickedness. A senior who reads a thesis and points out an error is one thing. Someone who comes only to take away the labour is another. Telling them apart is the wisdom here.
