ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುವಾರ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಳಿಬರುವ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಇದು. ಬಸ್ಸಿನ ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಂಗಡಿಯ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ, ಮಂತ್ರಾಲಯದ ಬೃಂದಾವನದ ಫೋಟೋದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಗುರು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರು ಬೃಂದಾವನ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಶಿಷ್ಯ ಅಪ್ಪಣ್ಣಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ರಚಿಸಿದರು ಎಂದು ಪರಂಪರೆ ಹೇಳುವ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರದ ಶ್ಲೋಕ. ಭಕ್ತರು ಇದನ್ನು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಮಂತ್ರ ಎಂದೇ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಪೂಜ್ಯಾಯ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರಾಯ ಸತ್ಯಧರ್ಮರತಾಯ ಚ ।

ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ಪೂಜ್ಯಾಯ (पूज्याय, pūjyāya) = ಪೂಜ್ಯರಾದವರಿಗೆ (to the revered one)
- ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರಾಯ (राघवेन्द्राय, rāghavendrāya) = ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರಿಗೆ (to Raghavendra)
- ಸತ್ಯಧರ್ಮರತಾಯ (सत्यधर्मरताय, satyadharmaratāya) = ಸತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತರಾದವರಿಗೆ (to one devoted to truth and dharma)

Salutations to the revered Raghavendra, devoted to truth and dharma, who is a wish-fulfilling tree to those who worship him and a wish-fulfilling cow to those who bow to him.
ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆAbout this verse
ಗುರು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ತೀರ್ಥರು ಮಧ್ವ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಯತಿಗಳು, ಕುಂಭಕೋಣದ ಮಠದ ಪೀಠಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವರು. ಹದಿನೇಳನೆಯ ಶತಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸುಮಾರು 1671ರಲ್ಲಿ, ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ತೀರದ ಮಂತ್ರಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ ಬೃಂದಾವನ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರು ಎಂದು ಪರಂಪರೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರ ನೆನಪಿನ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಶ್ರಾವಣ ಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.
Guru Raghavendra Tirtha was an ascetic of the Madhva tradition who headed the matha at Kumbakonam. Tradition holds that in the seventeenth century, around 1671, he entered the brindavana alive at Mantralaya on the Tungabhadra. The Aradhana held every year in the month of Shravana commemorates it.
ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಶ್ರೀಪೂರ್ಣಬೋಧ ಗುರುತೀರ್ಥ ಪಯೋಬ್ಧಿಪಾರಾ ಎಂದು ಆರಂಭವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಉದ್ದದ ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳಿವೆ; ಈ ಅನುಷ್ಟುಪ್ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಅದರ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ ಪಠಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ತೋತ್ರದ ಪಠ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ಸ್ಥಾನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಠಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಭಿನ್ನತೆ ಇದೆ.
The Raghavendra Stotram begins shripurnabodha gurutirtha payobdhipara and has many long verses; this short anushtubh verse is recited both as part of it and on its own. The publications of the mathas differ slightly on the text of the hymn and the place of this verse in it.
ಕಲ್ಪವೃಕ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಮಧೇನು ಎರಡೂ ಸಮುದ್ರಮಥನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಬಯಕೆ ಈಡೇರಿಸುವ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು. ಒಂದು ಮರ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಹಸು: ಭಜಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ನಮಿಸುವ ಎರಡು ಬಗೆಯ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ಉಪಮೆಗಳು.
The kalpavriksha and the kamadhenu both rose from the churning of the ocean and grant wishes. One is a tree and one a cow: two images for two kinds of devotee, those who worship and those who bow.

ಇಂದಿನ ಬದುಕಿಗೆFor life today
ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರು ಯತಿಗಳಾಗುವ ಮೊದಲು ವೆಂಕಟನಾಥ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಗೃಹಸ್ಥರಾಗಿದ್ದರು, ಬಡತನ ಕಂಡವರು, ವೀಣೆ ನುಡಿಸುವ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು. ಕಷ್ಟ ಕಂಡವರನ್ನು ಜನ ತಮ್ಮವರೆಂದು ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Before he became an ascetic, Raghavendra was a householder named Venkatanatha, who knew poverty and was a scholar who played the vina. People hold close those who have known hardship.
ಸತ್ಯಧರ್ಮರತ ಎಂಬ ಗುಣವನ್ನು ಬಯಕೆಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಇಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಗುರುವನ್ನು ಬೇಡುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಅವರ ಸತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮದ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವೇ ಮೊದಲ ನಮನ.
The verse places devotion to truth and dharma before any list of wishes. Trying to follow the teacher’s path of truth and dharma, before asking anything of him, is the first salutation.
