ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೂ ಒಂದೇ ಶ್ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸುವ ಸರಳ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಇದು. ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನವಗ್ರಹ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಪ್ರದಕ್ಷಿಣೆ ಹಾಕುವಾಗ ಅನೇಕರು ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರತಿ ಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೂ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಶ್ಲೋಕವಿರುವ ನವಗ್ರಹ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ತಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಪುಟವಿದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಯವಿಲ್ಲದಾಗ ಇದೊಂದೇ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಹೇಳುವ ರೂಢಿ ಇದೆ.
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ನಮಃ ಸೂರ್ಯಾಯ ಚಂದ್ರಾಯ ಮಂಗಲಾಯ ಬುಧಾಯ ಚ ।
ಗುರುಶುಕ್ರಶನಿಭ್ಯಶ್ಚ ರಾಹವೇ ಕೇತವೇ ನಮಃ ॥

नमः सूर्याय चन्द्राय मङ्गलाय बुधाय च ।
गुरुशुक्रशनिभ्यश्च राहवे केतवे नमः ॥

ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ನಮಃ (नमः, namaḥ) = ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ (salutations)
- ಸೂರ್ಯಾಯ ಚಂದ್ರಾಯ (सूर्याय चन्द्राय, sūryāya candrāya) = ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಗೆ, ಚಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ (to the Sun, to the Moon)
- ಮಂಗಲಾಯ ಬುಧಾಯ ಚ (मङ्गलाय बुधाय च, maṅgalāya budhāya ca) = ಮಂಗಳನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬುಧನಿಗೆ (to Mars and to Mercury)
- ಗುರುಶುಕ್ರಶನಿಭ್ಯಃ ಚ (गुरुशुक्रशनिभ्यः च, guruśukraśanibhyaḥ ca) = ಗುರು, ಶುಕ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಶನಿಗಳಿಗೆ (and to Jupiter, Venus and Saturn)

Salutations to the Sun, the Moon, Mars and Mercury, to Jupiter, Venus and Saturn, and to Rahu and Ketu.
ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆAbout this verse
ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲೂ ಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ವಾರದ ದಿನಗಳ ಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲೇ ಬರುತ್ತವೆ, ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಹು ಕೇತುಗಳು. ಭಾರತೀಯ ಖಗೋಳಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಹು ಕೇತುಗಳನ್ನು ಚಂದ್ರನ ದಾರಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಬಿಂದುಗಳೆಂದು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಗ್ರಹಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಈ ಬಿಂದುಗಳು ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಾಣುವ ಕಾಯಗಳಲ್ಲ.
Here too the planets come in the order of the weekdays, with Rahu and Ketu at the end. Indian astronomy reckons Rahu and Ketu as the points where the moon’s path crosses the sun’s. These points, tied to eclipses, are not bodies that can be seen in the sky.
ಇದರ ಮೂಲ ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಖಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗದು. ನವಗ್ರಹ ಪೂಜೆಯ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಬಳಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
Its original source cannot be fixed with certainty. It is widely used at the end of Navagraha worship and in daily prayers.

ಇಂದಿನ ಬದುಕಿಗೆFor life today
ನವಗ್ರಹ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯ ಸುತ್ತ ಜನ ಆತಂಕದಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ಧಾಟಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಶಾಂತವಾದದ್ದು. ಇದು ಯಾವ ಗ್ರಹವನ್ನೂ ಭಯದಿಂದ ಕಾಣದೆ, ಎಲ್ಲಕ್ಕೂ ಒಂದೇ ಗೌರವದ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಗೌರವವೇ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಹಗುರ.
We see people circling the Navagraha shrine anxiously. This verse, though, is calm in tone. It looks at no planet with fear and offers all of them the same respectful salutation. Respect sits lighter on the mind than anxiety.
