ತಂದೆತಾಯಿ, ಬಂಧು, ಸ್ವದೇಶ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಶಿವಪಾರ್ವತಿಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮೂರು ಲೋಕಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಇದು.
ಶಿವಭಕ್ತರ ನಡುವೆ ಬಹಳ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾದ ಈ ಸಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಶಿವಪೂಜೆಯ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ಮಾತಾ ಚ ಪಾರ್ವತೀ ದೇವೀ ಪಿತಾ ದೇವೋ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರಃ ।
ಬಾಂಧವಾಃ ಶಿವಭಕ್ತಾಶ್ಚ ಸ್ವದೇಶೋ ಭುವನತ್ರಯಮ್ ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ದೇವನಾಗರಿ)
माता च पार्वती देवी पिता देवो महेश्वरः ।
बान्धवाः शिवभक्ताश्च स्वदेशो भुवनत्रयम् ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (IAST)
mātā ca pārvatī devī pitā devo maheśvaraḥ |
bāndhavāḥ śivabhaktāśca svadeśo bhuvanatrayam ||
ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ಮಾತಾ ಚ ಪಾರ್ವತೀ ದೇವೀ (माता च पार्वती देवी, mātā ca pārvatī devī) = ತಾಯಿ ಪಾರ್ವತೀ ದೇವಿ (the mother is goddess Parvati)
- ಪಿತಾ ದೇವಃ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರಃ (पिता देवः महेश्वरः, pitā devaḥ maheśvaraḥ) = ತಂದೆ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವರು (the father is the god Maheshvara)
- ಬಾಂಧವಾಃ (बान्धवाः, bāndhavāḥ) = ಬಂಧುಗಳು (the relatives)
- ಶಿವಭಕ್ತಾಃ ಚ (शिवभक्ताः च, śivabhaktāḥ ca) = ಶಿವಭಕ್ತರೇ (are the devotees of Shiva)
- ಸ್ವದೇಶಃ (स्वदेशः, svadeśaḥ) = ಸ್ವಂತ ದೇಶ (one’s own country)
- ಭುವನತ್ರಯಮ್ (भुवनत्रयम्, bhuvanatrayam) = ಮೂರು ಲೋಕಗಳು (the three worlds)
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ತಾಯಿ ಪಾರ್ವತೀ ದೇವಿ, ತಂದೆ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವರು, ಬಂಧುಗಳು ಶಿವಭಕ್ತರೇ, ಮೂರು ಲೋಕಗಳೇ ಸ್ವಂತ ದೇಶ.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)
The mother is goddess Parvati, the father is the god Maheshvara, the relatives are the devotees of Shiva, and the three worlds together are one’s own country.
ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆAbout this verse
ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕ ಶಿವಭಕ್ತಿ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಕರ್ತೃ ಯಾರೆಂಬುದು ಖಚಿತವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
This verse is widely recited in the Shiva bhakti tradition, and its author is not known with certainty.
ತಂದೆತಾಯಿ, ಬಂಧು, ದೇಶ ಎಂಬ ಲೌಕಿಕ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಶಿವಪಾರ್ವತಿಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆಸೆಯುವ ಈ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ, ಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ದೈನಂದಿನ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.
The idea of binding ordinary relationships such as parents, kin and homeland to Shiva and Parvati expresses devotion in the very language of everyday ties.
