A love that, even when thrown into the fire of the wicked man’s mouth, comes out only the purer, like a cloth cleansed by fire, is very hard to find in this world.

Hutavaha means the carrier of the offering, that is, fire. The metaphor is that the wicked man’s speech burns like fire.
Analashauca amshuka is a cloth cleansed by fire. There is a tradition that such cloth does not burn and only loses its stain. We use it here only as the comparison.

For life today
A friendship that breaks under another’s sneering is a light one. One that grows firmer for it is rare. Whoever has even one such friend is fortunate.
But when a sneering word comes we can look not only at the one who said it but also at our own bond once.
