ಸುಧಾಸೂತೇಶ್ಚಂದ್ರೋ-ಪಲಜಲಲವೈರರ್ಘ್ಯರಚನಾ ।
ಸ್ವಕೀಯೈರಂಭೋಭಿಃ ಸಲಿಲನಿಧಿಸೌಹಿತ್ಯಕರಣಂ
ತ್ವದೀಯಾಭಿರ್ವಾಗ್ಭಿಃ ತವ ಜನನಿ ವಾಚಾಂ ಸ್ತುತಿರಿಯಮ್ ॥ 100 ॥

प्रदीपज्वालाभिः दिवसकरनीराजनविधिः
सुधासूतेश्चन्द्रोपलजललवैरर्घ्यरचना ।
स्वकीयैरम्भोभिः सलिलनिधिसौहित्यकरणं
त्वदीयाभिर्वाग्भिः तव जननि वाचां स्तुतिरियम् ॥ 100 ॥

ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ಪ್ರದೀಪಜ್ವಾಲಾಭಿಃ (प्रदीपज्वालाभिः, pradīpajvālābhiḥ) = ದೀಪದ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಗಳಿಂದ (with the flames of a lamp)
- ದಿವಸಕರನೀರಾಜನವಿಧಿಃ (दिवसकरनीराजनविधिः, divasakaranīrājanavidhiḥ) = ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಆರತಿ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ (like waving lights before the sun)
- ಸುಧಾಸೂತೇಃ (सुधासूतेः, sudhāsūteḥ) = ಚಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ (to the moon)
- ಚಂದ್ರೋಪಲಜಲಲವೈಃ (चन्द्रोपलजललवैः, candropalajalalavaiḥ) = ಚಂದ್ರಕಾಂತ ಶಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ಒಸರಿದ ನೀರಿನ ಹನಿಗಳಿಂದ (with drops of water from the moonstone)
- ಅರ್ಘ್ಯರಚನಾ (अर्घ्यरचना, arghyaracanā) = ಅರ್ಘ್ಯ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ (like offering arghya)
- ಸ್ವಕೀಯೈಃ ಅಂಭೋಭಿಃ (स्वकीयैः अम्भोभिः, svakīyaiḥ ambhobhiḥ) = ಅದರದೇ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ (with its own waters)

- ತ್ವದೀಯಾಭಿಃ ವಾಗ್ಭಿಃ (त्वदीयाभिः वाग्भिः, tvadīyābhiḥ vāgbhiḥ) = ನಿನ್ನದೇ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ (with words that are your own)
- ತವ (तव, tava) = ನಿನ್ನ (your)
- ಜನನಿ (जननि, janani) = ತಾಯಿಯೇ (O Mother)
- ವಾಚಾಂ (वाचां, vācāṃ) = ಮಾತುಗಳ ಒಡತಿಯೇ (source of all speech)
- ಸ್ತುತಿಃ ಇಯಮ್ (स्तुतिः इयम्, stutiḥ iyam) = ಈ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ (this hymn)
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ತಾಯಿಯೇ, ಮಾತುಗಳ ಒಡತಿಯೇ, ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಬೆಳಕಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಬಂದ ದೀಪದ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯಿಂದ ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಆರತಿ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ, ಚಂದ್ರನ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಒಸರುವ ಚಂದ್ರಕಾಂತ ಶಿಲೆಯ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಚಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಘ್ಯ ನೀಡಿದಂತೆ, ಸಮುದ್ರದ್ದೇ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತರ್ಪಣ ನೀಡಿದಂತೆ, ನಿನ್ನದೇ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಈ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)
Mother, source of all speech, as one waves a lamp before the sun with flames that are only its own light, as one offers arghya to the moon with water oozed from the moonstone under its own rays, and as one makes an offering to the ocean with its own waters, so this hymn to you is made of words that are already yours.
