ಚತುಷ್ಷಷ್ಟ್ಯಾ ತಂತ್ರೈಃ ಸಕಲಮತಿಸಂಧಾಯ ಭುವನಂ
ಸ್ಥಿತಸ್ತತ್ತತ್ಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಸವಪರತಂತ್ರೈಃ ಪಶುಪತಿಃ ।
ಪುನಸ್ತ್ವನ್ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಾ ದಖಿಲಪುರುಷಾರ್ಥೈಕಘಟನಾ-
ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಂ ತೇ ತಂತ್ರಂ ಕ್ಷಿತಿತಲಮವಾತೀತರದಿದಮ್ ॥ 31 ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ದೇವನಾಗರಿ)
चतुष्षष्ट्या तन्त्रैः सकलमतिसन्धाय भुवनं
स्थितस्तत्तत्सिद्धि प्रसवपरतन्त्रैः पशुपतिः ।
पुनस्त्वन्निर्बन्धा दखिलपुरुषार्थैकघटना
स्वतन्त्रं ते तन्त्रं क्षितितलमवातीतरदिदम् ॥ 31 ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (IAST)
catuṣṣaṣṭyā tantraiḥ sakalamatisandhāya bhuvanaṃ
sthitastattatsiddhi prasavaparatantraiḥ paśupatiḥ |
punastvannirbandhā dakhilapuruṣārthaikaghaṭanā
svatantraṃ te tantraṃ kṣititalamavātītaradidam || 31 ||
ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ಚತುಷ್ಷಷ್ಟ್ಯಾ ತಂತ್ರೈಃ (चतुष्षष्ट्या तन्त्रैः, catuṣṣaṣṭyā tantraiḥ) = ಅರವತ್ತನಾಲ್ಕು ತಂತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ (with the sixty-four tantras)
- ಸಕಲಮ್ ಅತಿಸಂಧಾಯ ಭುವನಂ (सकलम् अतिसन्धाय भुवनं, sakalam atisandhāya bhuvanaṃ) = ಇಡೀ ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಾನಪಡಿಸಿ (having satisfied the whole world)
- ಸ್ಥಿತಃ (स्थितः, sthitaḥ) = ಸುಮ್ಮನಾದ (remained so)
- ತತ್ತತ್ಸಿದ್ಧಿಪ್ರಸವಪರತಂತ್ರೈಃ (तत्तत्सिद्धिप्रसवपरतन्त्रैः, tattatsiddhiprasavaparatantraiḥ) = ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿನ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಸಿದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನಷ್ಟೇ ಕೊಡುವ (which yield only this or that particular power)
- ಪಶುಪತಿಃ (पशुपतिः, paśupatiḥ) = ಪಶುಪತಿ (Pashupati)
- ಪುನಃ ತ್ವತ್ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಾತ್ (पुनः त्वत् निर्बन्धात्, punaḥ tvat nirbandhāt) = ಮತ್ತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಒತ್ತಾಯದಿಂದ (again, at your insistence)
- ಅಖಿಲಪುರುಷಾರ್ಥೈಕಘಟನಾ (अखिलपुरुषार्थैकघटना, akhilapuruṣārthaikaghaṭanā) = ನಾಲ್ಕೂ ಪುರುಷಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ (which brings together all four ends of man)
- ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಂ ತೇ ತಂತ್ರಂ (स्वतन्त्रं ते तन्त्रं, svatantraṃ te tantraṃ) = ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ಅವಲಂಬಿಸದ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು (your own tantra, dependent on no other)
- ಕ್ಷಿತಿತಲಮ್ ಅವಾತೀತರತ್ ಇದಮ್ (क्षितितलम् अवातीतरत् इदम्, kṣititalam avātītarat idam) = ಈ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಸಿದ (brought down to this earth)
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ಪಶುಪತಿ ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಅರವತ್ತನಾಲ್ಕು ತಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಸುಮ್ಮನಾದ. ಅವು ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿನ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಸಿದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನಷ್ಟೇ ಕೊಡುವಂಥವು. ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಒತ್ತಾಯದಿಂದ, ಧರ್ಮ ಅರ್ಥ ಕಾಮ ಮೋಕ್ಷ ನಾಲ್ಕನ್ನೂ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ, ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ಅವಲಂಬಿಸದ ನಿನ್ನದೇ ತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಈ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಸಿದ.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)
Pashupati first gave the world the sixty-four tantras and left it at that, though each of them yields only one particular power or another. Afterwards, at your insistence, he brought down to this earth your own tantra, which depends on no other and gives all four ends of life together: dharma, artha, kama and moksha.
