ತಚ್ಚ ಸಂಸ್ಮೃತ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಮೃತ್ಯ ರೂಪಮತ್ಯದ್ಭುತಂ ಹರೇಃ।
ವಿಸ್ಮಯೋ ಮೇ ಮಹಾನ್ರಾಜನ್ಹೃಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಚ ಪುನಃ ಪುನಃ ॥ 77 ॥

तच्च संस्मृत्य संस्मृत्य रूपमत्यद्भुतं हरेः।
विस्मयो मे महान्राजन्हृष्यामि च पुनः पुनः ॥ 77 ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (English IAST)
tacca saṃsmṛtya saṃsmṛtya rūpamatyadbhutaṃ hareḥ|
vismayo me mahānrājanhṛṣyāmi ca punaḥ punaḥ || 77 ||
ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ರಾಜನ್ ಹರೇಃ ತತ್ ಅತ್ಯದ್ಭುತಂ ರೂಪಂ ಚ (राजन् हरेः तत् अत्यद्भुतं रूपं च, rājan hareḥ tat atyadbhutaṃ rūpaṃ ca) = ರಾಜನೇ, ಹರಿಯ ಆ ಅತ್ಯದ್ಭುತ ರೂಪವನ್ನೂ (and that most wondrous form of Hari, O king)
- ಸಂಸ್ಮೃತ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಮೃತ್ಯ (संस्मृत्य संस्मृत्य, saṃsmṛtya saṃsmṛtya) = ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ನೆನೆದು (recalling again and again)
- ಮೇ ಮಹಾನ್ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಃ (मे महान् विस्मयः, me mahān vismayaḥ) = ನನಗೆ ಮಹಾ ವಿಸ್ಮಯ (great is my wonder)
- ಪುನಃ ಪುನಃ ಹೃಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಚ (पुनः पुनः हृष्यामि च, punaḥ punaḥ hṛṣyāmi ca) = ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹರ್ಷಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ (and I rejoice again and again)
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ರಾಜನೇ, ಹರಿಯ ಆ ಅತ್ಯದ್ಭುತ ರೂಪವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ನೆನೆದು ನನಗೆ ಮಹಾ ವಿಸ್ಮಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹರ್ಷಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)
And recalling again and again that most wondrous form of Hari, O king, great is my wonder, and I rejoice again and again.

ಮಾತು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಹನ್ನೊಂದನೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡ ರೂಪವೂ ಸಂಜಯನ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಧರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳು ‘ತತ್ ರೂಪಂ’ ವಿಶ್ವರೂಪವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Not only the words but also the form seen in the eleventh chapter shines in Sanjaya’s memory. Shankara and Sridhara Swami say ‘that form’ refers to the Cosmic Form.
ರಾಮಾನುಜಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ, ಸಂಜಯ ತಾನೂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಕರಿಸಿದ ಹರಿಯ ಐಶ್ವರ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ನೆನೆದಂತೆಲ್ಲ ಹರ್ಷದೊಡನೆ ವಿಸ್ಮಯವೂ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ ಶ್ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಅವರು ‘ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನು’ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ವಿವರಣೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೂಲ ಪಠ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲ.
According to Ramanuja, as Sanjaya recalls the sovereign form of Hari that was revealed to Arjuna, and which he too beheld, his wonder grows along with his joy. He introduces the next verse with ‘what more need be said’. Madhva’s comment on this verse is not in our source text.
ಆಧಾರ: ಹಲವು ಮೂಲಗಳು. ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನಕಾರರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡೂ ಅರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

ವಿಸ್ಮಯ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಕಾಶದ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು, ಸಮುದ್ರ, ಒಂದು ಹೂವಿನ ರಚನೆ ಕೂಡ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಣ್ಣ ಚಿಂತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಅಳತೆಗೆ ತರಬಲ್ಲವು.
Wonder widens the mind. The stars of the sky, the sea, even the structure of a flower can bring our small worries to their proper size.
ಮಕ್ಕಳ ವಿಸ್ಮಯವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು ಅವರ ಕಲಿಕೆಗೂ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು.
