ಅಹಃ ಸೂತೇ ಸವ್ಯಂ ತವ ನಯನಮರ್ಕಾತ್ಮಕತಯಾ
ತ್ರಿಯಾಮಾಂ ವಾಮಂ ತೇ ಸೃಜತಿ ರಜನೀನಾಯಕತಯಾ ।
ತೃತೀಯಾ ತೇ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಃ ದರದಲಿತಹೇಮಾಂಬುಜರುಚಿಃ
ಸಮಾಧತ್ತೇ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾಂ ದಿವಸನಿಶಯೋರಂತರಚರೀಮ್ ॥ 48 ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ದೇವನಾಗರಿ)
अहः सूते सव्यं तव नयनमर्कात्मकतया
त्रियामां वामं ते सृजति रजनीनायकतया ।
तृतीया ते दृष्टिः दरदलितहेमाम्बुजरुचिः
समाधत्ते सन्ध्यां दिवसनिशयोरन्तरचरीम् ॥ 48 ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (English IAST)
ahaḥ sūte savyaṃ tava nayanamarkātmakatayā
triyāmāṃ vāmaṃ te sṛjati rajanīnāyakatayā |
tṛtīyā te dṛṣṭiḥ daradalitahemāmbujaruciḥ

ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ಅಹಃ (अहः, ahaḥ) = ಹಗಲನ್ನು (the day)
- ಸೂತೇ (सूते, sūte) = ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ (brings forth)
- ಸವ್ಯಂ (सव्यं, savyaṃ) = ಬಲ (right)
- ತವ ನಯನಂ (तव नयनं, tava nayanaṃ) = ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು (your eye)
- ಅರ್ಕಾತ್ಮಕತಯಾ (अर्कात्मकतया, arkātmakatayā) = ಸೂರ್ಯಸ್ವರೂಪವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ (being of the nature of the sun)
- ತ್ರಿಯಾಮಾಂ (त्रियामां, triyāmāṃ) = ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು (the night)
- ವಾಮಂ ತೇ (वामं ते, vāmaṃ te) = ನಿನ್ನ ಎಡ (your left)
- ಸೃಜತಿ (सृजति, sṛjati) = ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ (creates)
- ರಜನೀನಾಯಕತಯಾ (रजनीनायकतया, rajanīnāyakatayā) = ಚಂದ್ರಸ್ವರೂಪವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ (being of the nature of the moon, lord of the night)
- ತೃತೀಯಾ ತೇ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಃ (तृतीया ते दृष्टिः, tṛtīyā te dṛṣṭiḥ) = ನಿನ್ನ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣು (your third eye)
- ದರದಲಿತ (दरदलित, daradalita) = ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೇ ಅರಳಿದ (just beginning to open)
- ಹೇಮಾಂಬುಜರುಚಿಃ (हेमाम्बुजरुचिः, hemāmbujaruciḥ) = ಚಿನ್ನದ ಕಮಲದಂತೆ ಹೊಳೆಯುವ (bright as a golden lotus)
- ಸಮಾಧತ್ತೇ (समाधत्ते, samādhatte) = ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ (brings about)
- ಸಂಧ್ಯಾಂ (सन्ध्यां, sandhyāṃ) = ಸಂಧ್ಯಾಕಾಲವನ್ನು (the twilight)
- ದಿವಸನಿಶಯೋಃ (दिवसनिशयोः, divasaniśayoḥ) = ಹಗಲು ಮತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿಗಳ (of day and night)
- ಅಂತರಚರೀಮ್ (अन्तरचरीम्, antaracarīm) = ನಡುವೆ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ (that moves between)
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಗಣ್ಣು ಸೂರ್ಯಸ್ವರೂಪವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹಗಲನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಎಡಗಣ್ಣು ಚಂದ್ರಸ್ವರೂಪವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೇ ಅರಳಿದ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಕಮಲದಂತೆ ಹೊಳೆಯುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣು, ಹಗಲು ಮತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)
Your right eye, being the sun, brings forth the day. Your left eye, being the moon, lord of the night, creates the night. And your third eye, bright as a golden lotus just beginning to open, brings about the twilight that moves between day and night.
