त्वदीयं सौन्दर्यं        तुहिनगिरिकन्ये तुलयितुं
कवीन्द्राः कल्पन्ते        कथमपि विरिञ्चिप्रभृतयः ।
यदालोकौत्सुक्यात्        अमरललना यान्ति मनसा
तपोभिर्दुष्प्रापाम्        अपि गिरिशसायुज्यपदवीम् ॥ 12 ॥

ತ್ವದೀಯಂ (त्वदीयं, tvadīyaṃ) = ನಿನ್ನ (your)
ಸೌಂದರ್ಯಂ (सौन्दर्यं, saundaryaṃ) = ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು (beauty)
ತುಹಿನಗಿರಿಕನ್ಯೇ (तुहिनगिरिकन्ये, tuhinagirikanye) = ಹಿಮವಂತನ ಮಗಳೇ (O daughter of the snow mountain)
ತುಲಯಿತುಂ (तुलयितुं, tulayituṃ) = ಹೋಲಿಸಲು (to find a comparison for)
ಕವೀಂದ್ರಾಃ (कवीन्द्राः, kavīndrāḥ) = ಕವಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರು (the greatest of poets)
ಕಲ್ಪಂತೇ (कल्पन्ते, kalpante) = ಶಕ್ತರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ (are able)

ಅಮರಲಲನಾ (अमरललना, amaralalanā) = ದೇವಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು (the women of the gods)
ಯಾಂತಿ (यान्ति, yānti) = ಸೇರುತ್ತಾರೆ (attain)
ಮನಸಾ (मनसा, manasā) = ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೇ (by the mind alone)
ತಪೋಭಿಃ (तपोभिः, tapobhiḥ) = ತಪಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ (even by penance)
ದುಷ್ಪ್ರಾಪಾಮ್ (दुष्प्रापाम्, duṣprāpām) = ದೊರೆಯಲು ಕಷ್ಟವಾದ (hard to obtain)
ಅಪಿ (अपि, api) = ಸಹ (even)
ಗಿರಿಶಸಾಯುಜ್ಯಪದವೀಮ್ (गिरिशसायुज्यपदवीम्, giriśasāyujyapadavīm) = ಶಿವನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು (the state of union with Shiva)

ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)

ಹಿಮವಂತನ ಮಗಳೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆ ಹುಡುಕಲು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನೇ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಕವಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರೂ ಬಹಳ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಕಾಣಬೇಕೆಂಬ ತವಕದಿಂದ ದೇವಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆ ಧ್ಯಾನದಿಂದಲೇ, ಕಠಿಣ ತಪಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ ದೊರೆಯದ ಶಿವಸಾಯುಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)

Daughter of the snow mountain, even Brahma and the other master poets labour hard and barely manage to find anything to compare with your beauty. The women of the gods, longing for a single glimpse of you, hold you in their minds. By that alone they reach the union with Shiva that even severe penance does not yield.
