ತ್ವಯಾ ಹೃತ್ವಾ ವಾಮಂ ವಪುರಪರಿತೃಪ್ತೇನ ಮನಸಾ
ಶರೀರಾರ್ಧಂ ಶಂಭೋಃ ಅಪರಮಪಿ ಶಂಕೇ ಹೃತಮಭೂತ್ ।
ಯದೇತತ್ತ್ವದ್ರೂಪಂ ಸಕಲಮರುಣಾಭಂ ತ್ರಿನಯನಂ
ಕುಚಾಭ್ಯಾಮಾನಮ್ರಂ ಕುಟಿಲಶಶಿಚೂಡಾಲಮಕುಟಮ್ ॥ 23 ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (ದೇವನಾಗರಿ)
त्वया हृत्वा वामं वपुरपरितृप्तेन मनसा
शरीरार्धं शम्भोः अपरमपि शङ्के हृतमभूत् ।
यदेतत्त्वद्रूपं सकलमरुणाभं त्रिनयनं
कुचाभ्यामानम्रं कुटिलशशिचूडालमकुटम् ॥ 23 ॥
ಶ್ಲೋಕ (English IAST)
tvayā hṛtvā vāmaṃ vapuraparitṛptena manasā
śarīrārdhaṃ śambhoḥ aparamapi śaṅke hṛtamabhūt |
yadetattvadrūpaṃ sakalamaruṇābhaṃ trinayanaṃ
kucābhyāmānamraṃ kuṭilaśaśicūḍālamakuṭam || 23 ||
ಪದಶಃ ಅರ್ಥ
- ತ್ವಯಾ (त्वया, tvayā) = ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ (by you)
- ಹೃತ್ವಾ ವಾಮಂ ವಪುಃ (हृत्वा वामं वपुः, hṛtvā vāmaṃ vapuḥ) = ಎಡದ ಅರ್ಧ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಕಸಿದುಕೊಂಡು (having taken away the left half of the body)
- ಅಪರಿತೃಪ್ತೇನ ಮನಸಾ (अपरितृप्तेन मनसा, aparitṛptena manasā) = ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಾಗದ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ (with a mind still unsatisfied)
- ಶರೀರಾರ್ಧಂ ಶಂಭೋಃ (शरीरार्धं शम्भोः, śarīrārdhaṃ śambhoḥ) = ಶಂಭುವಿನ ಅರ್ಧ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು (half the body of Shambhu)
- ಅಪರಮ್ ಅಪಿ (अपरम् अपि, aparam api) = ಉಳಿದ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನೂ (the other half as well)
- ಶಂಕೇ (शङ्के, śaṅke) = ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಅನುಮಾನ (I suspect)
- ಹೃತಮ್ ಅಭೂತ್ (हृतम् अभूत्, hṛtam abhūt) = ಕಸಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀಯೆ (has been taken)
- ಯದೇತತ್ ತ್ವದ್ರೂಪಂ (यदेतत् त्वद्रूपं, yadetat tvadrūpaṃ) = ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಈ ರೂಪ (for this form of yours)
- ಸಕಲಮ್ ಅರುಣಾಭಂ (सकलम् अरुणाभं, sakalam aruṇābhaṃ) = ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೆಂಬಣ್ಣದ್ದು (is crimson all over)
- ತ್ರಿನಯನಂ (त्रिनयनं, trinayanaṃ) = ಮೂರು ಕಣ್ಣುಳ್ಳದ್ದು (three-eyed)
- ಕುಚಾಭ್ಯಾಮ್ ಆನಮ್ರಂ (कुचाभ्याम् आनम्रं, kucābhyām ānamraṃ) = ಸ್ತನಗಳ ಭಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಗಿದ್ದು (bent under the weight of its breasts)
- ಕುಟಿಲಶಶಿಚೂಡಾಲಮಕುಟಮ್ (कुटिलशशिचूडालमकुटम्, kuṭilaśaśicūḍālamakuṭam) = ಬಾಗಿದ ಚಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಕಿರೀಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದು (crowned with the curved crescent)
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಕನ್ನಡ)
ಶಂಭುವಿನ ಎಡ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನು ಕಸಿದುಕೊಂಡೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಉಳಿದ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಕಸಿದುಕೊಂಡುಬಿಟ್ಟೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಅನುಮಾನ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಗುವ ನಿನ್ನ ರೂಪ ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೆಂಬಣ್ಣದ್ದು, ಮೂರು ಕಣ್ಣುಳ್ಳದ್ದು, ಸ್ತನಗಳ ಭಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬಾಗಿದ ಚಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಕಿರೀಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದು.
ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅರ್ಥ (ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್)
Taking the left half of Shambhu’s body left your mind unsatisfied, and I suspect you have taken the other half too. For the form of yours that shines in me is crimson all over, three-eyed, bent a little under the weight of its breasts, and crowned with the curved crescent.
